1. Definitions

In these terms, "IMRAS" means Independent Medical Revalidation and Appraisal Services. "You" means the doctor or organisation making an enquiry or using services. "Services" means independent appraisal services and revalidation support services described on this website. "GMC" means the General Medical Council.

2. Nature of services

  • IMRAS provides professional appraisal services and structured revalidation support only.
  • IMRAS is not a designated body and does not provide Responsible Officer functions.
  • IMRAS does not provide statutory decision making or the final recommendation for GMC revalidation.
  • Final revalidation decisions remain with the GMC.

3. Suitability screening and acceptance

  • All enquiries are subject to suitability screening before acceptance.
  • IMRAS may decline an enquiry if the service is not appropriate, if risks are not manageable, or if required information is not provided.
  • Where accepted, the scope of work, fees, and deliverables will be confirmed in writing before work starts.

4. No guarantee of outcomes

  • IMRAS does not guarantee revalidation, appraisal outcomes, or any decision by the GMC or any other body.
  • Services support process quality, documentation readiness, and structured reflection only.

5. Exclusions

IMRAS does not provide the following.

  • Medical treatment, clinical care, prescribing, or clinical second opinions
  • Specialty clinical supervision or remediation services
  • Responsible Officer functions or statutory decision making
  • NHS contractual GP appraisal within NHS designated body appraisal schemes
  • Advocacy in active GMC fitness to practise investigations

6. Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of information provided to IMRAS.
  • You remain responsible for your professional practice, declarations, and regulatory obligations.
  • You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining appropriate indemnity and permissions for your work.
  • You must not submit altered or misleading evidence. If you are unsure, you should seek independent advice.

7. Evidence and documentation

  • IMRAS does not create evidence. IMRAS may help you organise and present existing evidence.
  • Where templates are provided, you remain responsible for content accuracy and truthfulness.
  • You should retain your own copies of all documents, including appraisal outputs.

8. Fees, invoicing, and payment

  • Fees are as listed on the Services page or as agreed in writing after screening.
  • Some services may require an advance payment or deposit before work starts.
  • Invoices are payable within 7 days unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Late payment may result in pause or termination of services.

9. Cancellation and rescheduling

  • Appraisal meeting dates can be rescheduled subject to availability.
  • If you cancel a scheduled meeting with less than 48 hours notice, a cancellation fee may apply.
  • If you do not attend a scheduled meeting, the session may be treated as delivered.
  • Where services have already been delivered, fees are not refundable.

10. Confidentiality

  • IMRAS will treat information you provide as confidential, subject to legal and regulatory obligations.
  • You should not share third party personal data unless it is necessary and you have a lawful basis to do so.
  • You are responsible for redacting patient identifiers and unnecessary personal information unless specifically required.

11. Data protection and privacy

IMRAS processes personal data to deliver services and respond to enquiries. Please read the Privacy policy.

12. Limitation of liability

  • IMRAS is not liable for losses resulting from GMC decisions, employer decisions, or third party decisions.
  • IMRAS is not liable for losses arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot be limited by law.

13. Complaints

If you are dissatisfied, please contact IMRAS using the Contact page and label your message "Complaint". We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and respond within 20 working days, subject to complexity.

14. Changes to these terms

IMRAS may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this website applies at the time you engage services.

15. Service provider and contracting arrangements

Services are provided under the trading name Independent Medical Revalidation and Appraisal Services (IMRAS). The contracting service provider is TES Medical Research (TESMR).

Dr Mun Seng Lee provides services as an independent contractor. MSLGNL Ltd acts as a representative for administrative and fee collection purposes only.

Reminder: IMRAS provides independent appraisal and revalidation support only. It is not an RO or designated body service. IMRAS does not provide statutory decision making. Final revalidation decisions remain with the GMC.
